Friday Cask Ale: Dry-hopped Victory’s Legacy IPA
Friday Cask: Dry-hopped Victory’s Legacy IPA
Golden English IPA – 4.7% ABV, 65 IBUs
Though not quite as hoppy as its American cousin, this golden IPA has a nice floral hoppiness and a bit of sweet maltiness.
Throughout history there have been a number of ships named the HMS Victory in the British Navy, and all of them have a storied history. One of the most famous ones is still on display in Portsmouth, England – this one served the British Royal Navy in the American Revolution & the French Revolution, carried Admiral Nelson’s body back to England after the Battle of Trafalgar, and now serves as a museum piece in Naval history.
This coming Friday (July 6th), we’ve got our Flagship IPA on Cask with a bit of dry-hopping to kick it up a touch! The last time we had this on cask (back in February) it disappeared quick, so if you want your share this time be sure to be early for the tapping!
Tapping of the cask happens at 4pm and we’ll be pouring this delicious IPA until the cask is empty. Hopefully you’re around after the holiday for a quick treat on a Friday afternoon!
